Our Reserve
Arid Recovery's innovative reserve layout offers unique, large-scale environments for wildlife research and conservation, enabling vital studies on ecosystem impacts and species reintroductions
Spanning a total of 12,300 hectares across six large enclosures, Arid Recovery is currently Australia's largest feral-proof fenced reserve. The experimental layout provides a controlled setting for observing the effects of management decisions and species reintroductions on ecosystems. This setup includes predator-proof areas for studying native species such as the western quoll and the greater bilby, alongside experimental zones where interactions between feral predators and native wildlife are meticulously researched.
