How You Can Help
Fencing & Reserve Maintenance
Fencing and Reserve maintenance is ongoing and always in need of a few extra pairs of hands to help out.
Annual Trapping and Ongoing Research
In early March, we conduct annual pitfall trapping to monitor reptiles and small mammals inside and outside the Reserve. This is a week-long activity and volunteers must be prepared to participate for the entire week. This event is always popular, so remember to enquire early (preference may be given to students studying environmental sciences or those with prior experience). Other volunteers with an environmental science background are required throughout the year for trapping, tracking and radio-tracking, and are invited to enquire at any time.
Feral Control
We have permanent traps and control programs around the perimeter of the Reserve to reduce predator pressure and feral rabbit numbers along the fence line. This role is perfect for local volunteers.
Arid Recovery Tours
Volunteers can run tag-along tours of the Reserve. Full training and an information manual is provided. This is a very rewarding experience for both the guide and the tourists.
Community Events & Fundraising
