Starlight Dinner

Starlight-Dinner-Set-Up_Ines-Badman.jpg

Join us for a Starlight Dinner inside one of Australia’s largest and longest-running predator-proof conservation reserves. This 4.5-hour experience offers rare access to a working reserve, where science and conservation unfold in real time. The evening combines a guided sunset tour through the dunes,  a campfire-cooked dinner, and spotlighting for nocturnal animals

What is included

Your evening begins with a guided tour through the dunes with an Arid Recovery ecologist. Learn how threatened species are returned to the wild, how feral predators are excluded, and what it takes to restore ecosystems in one of Australia’s most challenging environments.

We pause at the viewing platform to watch the desert shift from day to dusk. Expect to see wide skies, red dunes, and golden light stretching to the horizon.

Dinner is then served under the stars. Prepared over the fire by the Roxby Downs Rotary Club, guests enjoy a freshly cooked two- or three-course meal in a setting few get to experience.

As darkness settles, you can relax beside the campfire or head out on a guided spotlight safari, searching for bilbies, bettongs and other nocturnal wildlife emerging into the night.
